The year has gone in a flash for Academy 2023!
We now have two fantastic Cohorts who have been on their own Engineering journeys. Cohort 2 developed their presentation skills in their first year, worked in groups and experienced how different team members must operate to achieve their goals. They have improved in confidence and have a new understanding of workplace readiness skills. They have had lots of fun visiting GE and Aviation museums, learning about University life from talks with student support, and having a tour around the impressive engineering department here at Staffordshire University.
Cohort 1 has been developing its business models to present to the GE 'Dragons'. Designing and building hydroponic systems, they have been challenged in leadership and finance and carry a new awareness of how to create a successful business.

Friday, July 28, will be the cohorts' final presentations for the year! Each team will present their solutions for their design challenges and share what they've learned about engineering. Cohort 1 will also present their business plans to the Dragon's Den, incorporating entrepreneurship and financial planning alongside engineering. We know everyone's presentations will be so much fun!
