Looking for a camp experience that blends experiential learning and hands-on opportunities with life-long friends? Join University of Cincinnati’s GE Next Engineers: Engineering Camp this summer in June or July of 2023!
GE Next Engineers: Engineering Camp is a week-long event that allows students to get face to face with engineering concepts and design principles. Challenges pull from real-world problems and provide working engineers from GE and beyond to mentor and guide in the engineering process. The week also includes college and career readiness activities such as mock interviews, campus tours, and lunch-and-learn opportunities with industry professionals. This year, students will work collectively to solve a problem in war-torn countries using mechanical and material engineering. Presentations will be held on Friday of camp for parents and families at the General Electric Evendale campus. Of course, we will also play games, get to know each other, and have a lot of fun, too!
Applications are now open at nextengineers.org/cincinnati and students can apply in as little as seven minutes. GE Next Engineers: Engineering Camp is open to all incoming 9th and 10th graders (current 8th and 9th graders) in the Cincinnati region (all applicants must be Ohio residents). Camp is offered over four weeks for scheduling ease, but applicants may only attend one week in order to provide the experience to as many students as possible. Girls and racially and ethnically diverse students are encouraged to apply.
