This spring, students in the Cincinnati area have been participating in the Drop Zone design challenge! In this challenge, students are tasked with designing and building a device that stays in the air as long as possible but floats accurately back to the ground when dropped from a height of over 6 feet. Students are only provided with a basic set of materials to complete this task, including paper, paper clips, index cards, tape and scissors.
Students from schools such as Mt. Healthy, Winton Woods and Pleasant Run have already completed this challenge with great results! Over the coming weeks, the Next Engineers team is scheduled to visit Lockland, Withrow and Princeton to keep the fun going!
