With exciting challenges including Run Marble Run, Toxic Popcorn, and Critical Load, Year 9 students have had the opportunity to engage with our team through hands-on engineering activities to expand their engineering understanding. In addition to this, students have also developed the building blocks of Next Engineers: awareness, interest, engineering habits of mind, engineering identity, and agency - key skills for our future engineers!
The Engineering Discovery programme is a fantastic opportunity for young people to explore future career opportunities within the engineering sector and provides them with a pipeline of further experiences for those young people who are keen on pursuing a career in engineering.

Our delivery team has an incredibly busy summer period with further Next Engineers projects, including Engineering Experience, an intensive week-long programme for 100 young people held on our site in Stafford, and further Engineering Academy sessions, a three-year programme for those young people who are ready to equip themselves with the skills required to build an engineering identity and career.
The Engineering Discovery programme will continue through the 24/25 academic year and our diaries are now open for sessions in the Staffordshire area.
